Director of the Adelaide FAME Festival 2020
Murray Green has once again accepted the demanding role of Director of the Adelaide Mandolin Festival for 2020 and those who participated in the 2017 Adelaide Mandolin Festival know only too well how smoothly that Festival ran, largely due to the tremendous amount of work done by Murray for many months before the Festival came to fruition, during the Festival and afterwards. FAME's Committee of Management is delighted to have Murray back at the helm and are confident that the Festival in 2020 will be even better than three years ago!
Leader of the Adelaide FAME Festival Orchestra
Normally the person chosen to lead the FAME Festival Orchestra is announced 2 or 3 months before the Festival actually starts but this time the Festival Committee felt compelled to announce its popular choice of Dylan Woolcock as the Leader!
Dylan graduated from the Melbourne University Conservatorium of Music in 2001. As well as performing regularly with the gypsy band, "Golonka" and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Dylan has worked with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, the State Opera of South Australia, the State Theatre, and several distinguished artists including Kev Carmody, Paul Capsis, Danny Elfman and Rufus Wainwright.
A versatile guitarist, Dylan also has a passion for the Mandolin. He has played the Vivaldi Mandolin Concerto at the Adelaide Town Hall, Don Giovanni with the State Opera of SA, Gnarly Buttons with the ASO and is a founding member and musical Director of Adelaide’s Mandolin Ensemble “Mandolaide”.
