Adelaide FAME Festival 2020
The 2020 Adelaide FAME Festival is only the second FAME Festival to be held in Adelaide. The first Adelaide FAME Festival was held at Lincoln College in 2017 and proved to be very successful. The Festival Orchestra was conducted by Nathan Aspinall and after 5 days of intensive rehearsing performed a public concert in St Peter's Cathedral which attracted a large and enthusiastic audience. As a consequence of the success of the first Adelaide FAME Festival and the tireless work of the Festival Director, Murray Green, a small mand0lin ensemble, called "Mandolaide" was formed with a number of Adelaide musicians led by Dylan Woolcock.
The Director of the 2020 Adelaide FAME Festival is, once again, Murray Green from Brisbane and he is supported by the 2019 FAME Committee including President, Cath Kench from Sydney, Treasurer Trevor Smallwood from the ACT, Secretary Danny Silver from Melbourne, Marie Schulz and Ana Minas from Perth, Martha Babineau from Sydney, Ray Kerslake from Melbourne, Ian Bull from the ACT, Joel Woods from Brisbane and GIanni Flego from Auckland.
